The quilt is coming along

I've been working on the quilt and I've got all of the four squares blocked into 24 blocks. Now I'm planning on sewing the blocks together into six rows of four blocks and then sew the rows together into the final piece. I'm anticipating lots of problems lining it up, so I've been putting it off a bit. But I think I'm ready to give it a go tonight. Ellie got a new bed a few days ago and it's a twin, so I think this quilt is going to be very big on her bed. We'll see.

Here's how the four squares look together (wrinkly fabric, I know):

This looks really good! Lining up the seams is the hard part, but once you do it a few times you'll get the hang of it. You're doing such great work! You should come to Texas when it's time to do the quilting and we can do it together. Or were you planning to tie the quilt?

I am planning to quilt the quilt and I am dreading it!!! Mainly because I don't even know where to start. Maybe a trip to Texas would be helpful so I can have a resident expert help me with the quilting. I'll have to wait and see what our situation is over the summer.
